Stephanie Manchulenko
Following in her father's footsteps with a love for opera, Stephanie Manchulenko has loved opera since she was a teenager. Stephanie started taking singing lessons nine years ago, first with Carleen Wiebe, and then with Alison Nystrom. Currently, Stephanie studies with Richard Williams. Stephanie has sung with North Langley Community Church Worship team and Christmas Desert Theater.
She has been awarded several first place certificates in the Kiwanis festival. Stephanie began singing opera 12 years ago, debuting with Opera Appassionata in 2005. Her roles include La Suora Zelatrice and La Badessa (Suor Angelica). Stephanie is retired from working as a secretary and office manager and stay at home mom.
Stephanie has two grown children and four grandchildren, aged from ten to twenty one, who take up a lot of her time. She also loves to travel with trips to Europe, Israel, Spain, Eastern United State which included a stop in New York to see Madama Butterfly at the Metropolitan Opera and a second trip to New York where she saw Phantom of the Opera.
This
is Stephanie's ninth season with Opera Pro Cantanti.
